About NANJING WOOL MARKET
Nanjing Wool Market (NWM) was established in 1988 by ministry of textile industry for the purpose of developing wool base, organizing wool auction and trade fair, originally named “Nanjing Wool Auction and Trade Centre”. Having been ratified by China System Reform Committee, it changed its name into “Nanjing Wool Market” in 1992.

After approval of China Wool Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association Wool Special Committee is set up in Nanjing Wool Market in charge of daily work of special committee in 1998.

As a statutory authority, Nanjing Wool Market deals with information exchange, wool auction, broker, logistic, technology consultation and so on. Being held every year, “China Wool Trade Fair & Information Conference” attracts so many representatives from animal husbandry, industry, and commercial circles. We have won great reputation in wool textile industry. NWM has been awarded as civilized market by State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

NWM membership covers woolgrowers, traders, primary processors, spinners, weavers, garment makers and retailers of wool and allied fibers all over China and some foreign countries.

Information and Internet functions
“Nanjing Wool Market Weekly” magazine attaches significance in publicizing national policies, transmitting market quotation and wool trends at abroad, releasing offer information, in order to supply business chances to buyers and sellers. NWMW has been published over 800 terms. So far, more than 800,000 copies of the book were sold. “Nanjing Wool Market Weekly” has been recognized as “WOOL PRICE GUIDE” in China.

Improving the cooperation and communication with International wool market information, NWM has established cooperative relationship with AWI, AWTA, WOOL OF NZ, SUL, BWMB, CAPE WOOL and so on.

NWM also established website www.woolmarket.com.cn We have been trying our best to develop E-commerce and trade, and apply electronic technology in wool marketing services. Some special columns, such as Reporter Station, Wool Forum, and Marketing Analysis provide you trading and communicating room.

Training and Education function
“Nanjing Wool Market Training Centre” was founded by NWM, Northwest Institute of Textile, AWI China office, and Wool of New Zealand China office in 1994. NWMTC regularly makes wool training programs at home and abroad. In Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other regions, NWMTC organize training courses and several technical seminars, with more than 5000 trainees. It plays an active role in promoting wool business and spreading textile technology.

Training Centre also organize many firms and trainees to study abroad, and introduce China Textile Industry to Australian growers.

Trade and Service functions
NWM is located in wool textile industrial centralization which is convenient for transportation. We have 40000-square-meters modern warehouse and trading hall. Now, we have established great supply-and-demand platform for sellers and buyers. With a fair, impartial and open manner, NWM promote wool auction and trade field. It is benefit to improve the quality of wool and the development of wool textile industry.

Since 1988, we organize the wool auction almost ever year and strengthen the relationship with farm area to introduce management to the farmers. In order to guarantee the benefits of buyers and suppliers, we also set up the standard purchase and sell regulation for domestic wool auction.
